Potassium is needed by the body for a variety of functions. Most notably, potassium helps with bone and heart health. It’s also been found to have positive effects on high blood pressure. However, most of us don’t get enough of it in our diets. Bananas are the most commonly associated food with potassium, but there are many other foods that contain the mineral.
